Welcome to my small part of the technology & Internet world. I hope you enjoy my Web Log (BLOG). I have no preconceived notions regarding where this experience will lead, but I am enjoying being able to share some of my thoughts (however trivial or mundane), experiences and photography. I welcome your feedback and comments on the site, the content and/or my images. I have included a contact form in the top navigation.
This is my sixth iteration of my BLOG. I began in early 2005 with a site on www.blogger.com but quickly wanted a richer feature set as I had embarked on an ambitious plan to take a Photo-A-Day for 1 year (I made it six months!) and wanted to do more. After some research and reading other blogs, I chose WordPress for the content management and Gallery2 for my photo gallery. I no longer am using Gallery2 but rather have created a portfolio site, Pixels on the Wall, that is accessible via the main navigation. In addition, I am also using Facebook to link to other images for my blog gallery.
This sixth version has implemented the theme Magazine Basic by Themes by bavotasan.com. I am able to provide functionality that I used to without customizations and at the same time provide a fresh look to the site. I have eliminated any substantial customization so that it will be easier to provide a fresh look and new functionality on a regular basis.
My site is hosted and is running WordPress version 3.1.
I have added some additional functionality through the use of WordPress Plugins. Below are the WP Plugins that I am currently using on the site.
